You Know Where You Can Stick Those “Religious Exemptions”

The following is my version of a letter to President Biden about the Dump-created “religious exemptions,” when Christofascist employers impose their creepy, backward, patriarchal beliefs on employees and won’t let their health care cover birth control.

I’m concerned about the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Labor, and the Treasury Department’s proposed rule “Coverage of Certain Preventive Services Under the Affordable Care Act.” This proposed rule would enable more people to access birth control without out-of-pocket costs by rescinding the Dump administration’s overtly misogynistic exemption to the ACA’s birth control benefit.

I am profoundly disgusted that the proposed rule does not rescind the toilet demon administration’s disgusting “religious exemption.” In a perfect world, no women or marginalized genders would have power-tripping control freak Christofascists for employers, but this is no perfect world — it’s in fact a dystopia — and people need to survive. Everyone deserves full access to the birth control they need without barriers, so they can get birth control’s pregnancy prevention and other health benefits as well as the benefits to their education, finances, and emotional well-being.
