Worst Mail Carrier in the Galaxy
Maybe I should give this postal worker the benefit of the doubt: maybe their arms fell off when they reached my driveway.
It’s one thing to not latch my driveway gate and grumble about my driveway gate. That behavior has always seemed disingenuous — mail carriers pretending they don’t know this is 2024 and people are constantly trespassing and stealing mail and property from people’s yards. Of course trespassers are the reason I decided to install a driveway gate. In other countries, having a wall or fence around your property and a gate are standard — I don’t get why this country acts like it’s bizarre. But I get that mail carriers have a stressful job.
Now… dumping all my mail at the end of the driveway is a whole new level. That’s crossing a line. I expect that behavior from Fed Ex, not USPS. It’s like they want trespassers to steal my mail.
Usually when a package arrives, I receive a notification that it was delivered. Even if it was delivered to the wrong house, I typically receive a notification. Today there was no notification… until 10:40 at night. The notifications for each package lied — ludicrously claiming the packages were “left near the front door or porch.” The end of the driveway isn’t “near the front door or porch.”
