This resonates even though I’m Celtic & Ashkenazi. I grew up an empath in rural Indiana. Making art is like breathing--and I have never related to competition and aggression. As a sensitive child surrounded by the empathy-challenged, I was labeled special ed.

Now I’m a hermit--that’s the only way I can stand living in the U. S.
