The Shadow Self

In the middle of the night:

I had a dream in which I lived in an apartment with two cats and a sinister demon was in my house.

At bedtime, I close the cats and myself in the bedroom with the demon roaming the rest of the apartment. Maybe I lock the bedroom door, maybe I put a piece of furniture in front of it, at most.
