The 2025 Project

Or “Mainstream Media is Trash, Part 2”

If you haven’t already, I recommend looking up the 2025 Project. It’s the Heritage Foundations plan to replace American democracy with fascism if a Republifascist becomes president. It’s an extremist assault on the rights of people of color, immigrants, women, LGBTQIA+ people, and basically everyone except cishet white male Christians.

Democracy Now! has covered the 2025 Project, several podcasts have done so (Gaslit Nation, The Ace Couple, Feminist Buzzkills, and probably others), and Jessica Valenti has talked about it on her Substack, Abortion, Every Day. Mainstream media hasn’t given it sufficient attention and would rather go on about Biden needing to step down as the Democratic candidate — just because he’s old and flopped in the fiasco of a debate.

I wrote the following to mainstream media outlets: The New York Times, Axios, USA Today, The Hill, Semafor, and the Independent:

It is irresponsible and unconscionable for the media to keep claiming that President Biden should step down from running for president — rather than stating that the twice-impeached felon, rapist, white supremacist, narcissistic psychopath dictator-wannabe who headed an insurrection should step down from the presidential race. As you know, the Constitution clearly states that this dictator-wannabe cannot run for office. Did you forget January 6?!?!?
