Practice Writing Like Poe

I read some writing by and about Edgar Allan Poe and wrote a couple Poe-inspired stories for a Poe-themed anthology. Then this happened.

I fell upon a sheet of bubble wrap and popped it zealously.

The black cat, horrified, lurked in the dark hallway and stared at me through the open door. Seeing the roundness of her glowing golden orbs, I laughed maniacally.
