Narcissistic Delusions of Entitlement

One thing you can expect from narcissists and narcissistic sociopaths is how they’re so arrogant and entitled — they’re convinced their gaslighting is permanent. It doesn’t seem to cross their minds that you might snap out of their gaslighting until you show or tell them.

I know what it’s like to be the target who snaps out of the brainwashing or gaslighting and becomes disillusioned with the narcissist or narcissistic sociopath. It can involve plenty of shock and require quite a bit of processing. You might kick yourself and call yourself stupid for ever being fooled, but you’re not stupid. It’s natural to expect people to tell the truth and not pretend to be someone they’re not.

Even then — after you’ve become disillusioned with them — narcissists and narcissistic sociopaths take for granted that it doesn’t occur to you that their delusions of entitlement are bogus. Even when you stand up to them and argue with them and it should be screamingly obvious you’re onto them — many narcissists or narcissistic sociopaths continue to flaunt their extreme delusions of entitlement.

They’re so accustomed to getting their own way. They’re so accustomed to you walking on eggshells and coming back for more verbal and emotional abuse.

They’re confident you’ll never go No-Contact with them. Or they’re confident that…
