My New Dollhouse (Part 4)
So… awkward. The original dollhouse is a bit crooked on the foundation, so I couldn’t glue the second addition to it. I didn’t build the original parts, so that’s not on me.
But… I did buy a Cosco folding table, and it has a seam down the center. Apparently the weight of the dollhouse on one side of the table means that when I scoot the second addition as close as possible to the dollhouse, the addition leans toward it like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Aside from that, it’s a great table for such projects. Half of it served as a worktable. Plus it’s eight feet long — almost as long as the wall. I intend to display other miniatures on the other side of the table, most likely individual rooms (because I have some fun ideas, including a witch’s potion room).
The second addition, in short, will remain detached from the dollhouse. Fortunately, I’m more into interior decoration than the facade, and it’s easy for me to imagine the dollhouse is all in one piece.
