I’ve had plenty of managers, supervisors, coworkers, and customers who treated me with plenty of contempt and disrespect, but you’d think people I hire would behave better.

It took me five days to finally be certain that the handyman, Manipulative Misogynist, isn’t returning to finish the work I paid him to do on my house. He only halfway painted an upstairs window frame (and who stops in the middle of painting a window frame, anyway?); it’s upstairs, and I have acrophobia, so that’s the only step he hasn’t finished that I can’t do.
