I can see this happening--I only had a Reddit account for a week, before I deleted it because I was mostly blocking misogynists.

Bluesky (which was invite-only when I joined) has been nice and friendly in my experience. It was more so before the influx of many more people right after the election. Now that it's no longer invite-only, a whole bunch of bots started following me and others. Bluesky apparently solved the issue... at least temporarily.
