Fed Up with FedEx

Thanks for dumping my display box kits in a puddle and damanging them, FedEx.

When my pre-ordered… and backordered… new display rooms for dollhouse miniatures arrived, they were three long and narrow packages strapped together with packaging tape. One end of all three was soaking wet and dirty, looking exactly like FedEx (Fed Up) dumped them in a puddle. Sure enough, the kits inside were wet, and the corner of one display box wall was slightly bent and flaking.

I had eagerly anticipated the arrival of these display boxes. They’re a new product from Miniatures.com, and they’re extra special because: instead of the usual one miniature room, these new display boxes feature two rooms. (If you wanted to build a dollhouse but only wanted to focus on interior decorating, not a façade, you could build a dollhouse by gradually collecting these display boxes. I have a cunning plan to build an Edwardian dollhouse this way, much like the cardboard dollhouse I built as a kid.) I’ve been intending to make a witch’s cottage, two French rooms, and two Chinese rooms.

The FedEx website refuses to let me submit my claim — an Error message comes up. Apparently because FedEx doesn’t recognize the tracking number that I found on the package, the website is refusing to let me submit the claim, even though I provided a…
