Member-only story
Dear people & bots who have been emailing & texting me endlessly about voting,
I voted two weeks ago. This is Oregon.
I don’t have a polling place, because this is Oregon. Our ballots are mailed, and we can either mail them or drop them off. I dropped mine off.
There were no masked and/or armed fascists standing around by the ballot drop-off to intimidate voters (which, by the way, should be illegal in every state).
I’m glad I live in Oregon, not in a state that has a poling place where people wait in line. All states should vote by mail as Oregon does. Oh, yeah: the states that don’t have the option of voting by mail, let alone have that as the only voting option… actually don’t want people to vote. That’s a red flag that this country is no democracy.
P. S.: Now that the election is today, I hope you’ll stop texting and emailing me to donate to you all the time. I’m not a billionaire who can donate to a thousand organizations and campaigns every day.
