Bullying & Patriarchy (Part 1)

I have connected patriarchy (dominator society) with bullying, and not only because, at least since the age of four, I’ve been bullied merely for being female. Since patriarchy is about domination, it rewards bullies and breeds sociopathy and malignant narcissism. Empaths like me, especially if they’re female, are not respected and valued in such a toxic society. Anyone who isn’t a power-tripping cishet white male isn’t seen as fully human in the U. S.

Life experience keeps teaching me that most of the human population consists of bullies. I’m not merely referring to bratty little kids at school or next door. I’m referring not only to children bullies but also humans who look like adults but have the emotional maturity of playground bullies. The world is crawling with them — or at least the United States is.

When I dwelled in the Midwest (Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas) about ninety-nine percent of the population consisted of bullies. Post-college in St. Louis, Missouri and later in Topeka, Kansas (and for the record, the only reason I moved to Bigotville was because an uncle died and left me his Craftsman-style house), I became more and more reclusive. I knew the more I spent time with humans, the more humans bullied me. Bullying was what I could expect from most humans, even some I considered friends. Ergo I saw no point in associating with them more…
