Pat Schroeder attempted to pass the Right to Choice Bill in 1993, to codify the right to abortion. Thirty years later, it still hasn’t passed.
The ERA is one hundred years old, and the federal government is still pretending it hasn’t passed. No, the seven-year limit isn’t valid — Congress never had the right to give it a limit. That was just a petty excuse to throw women under the bus.
Meanwhile, the Dump-appointed Christofascist Judge Cocksmirk is colluding with a Christofascist shadow organization that came into being right after the overturn of Roe — only for the purpose of banning medication abortion nationwide.
This country’s extreme level of misogyny makes it an international laughingstock. Other conservative countries have recently evolved enough to make abortion legal. Act like you consider women and marginalized genders to be as human as cishet white men. You can make an executive order to codify abortion rights.
This is a humanitarian crisis. Hospitals keep refusing to give women abortions… until they’re on the brink of death. “Pro-life” is a hypocritical lie meant to gaslight the public into not knowing that power-tripping control freak…
