Bitch: Feminist Response to Pop Culture has been my favorite magazine for years.

My heart is aching.

I started subscribing to the magazine Bitch: Feminist Response to Pop Culture years before I moved to Portland. After moving to Portland, I was a volunteer there for a couple years. Bitch is folding this month.

In Other Words, Portland’s feminist bookstore & community center — my Portland home away from home — closed in 2018.

These feminist spaces were sanctuaries in a mostly hostile world.

I am delighted to announce that Cloaked Press will publish my story “Theater Patron” in Kaleidoscope — A Queer Anthology, scheduled for June 1, 2022.
