My dad and I traveled to Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2011 because his sister died unexpectedly. I lived in Portland, Oregon, and he lived in NW Indiana, an hour from Chicago.

A gate at Harvard University

Massachusetts, Part 17

This is a selection of the limericks Aunt Barbara wrote and that I found in her Cambridge condo after she passed away.

Limericks and doggerel

Keeping me mellow

Through thick and thin

I write about jibes

And wandering tribes…

Not to your taste? I’ve a Bedouin.

ANOTHER CATASTROPHE

Master pro, master pal, what a guy!

With your coaching the limit’s the sky.

You make learning fun.

You’re full of aplomb.

On humor

We see eye to eye

There once was a man from Niagara

Who took a big dose of Viagra.

The sail went aloft,

But soon it went soft.

No seaman, that man from Niagara.

The following limerick is… about my extremely loquacious dad.
